The Colonial Inn

We enjoyed staying in a building with years of history behind it yet very well renovated with modern features while keeping that old historic feel and look. Every person we encountered on the staff was very nice and helpful. That went from the night desk clerk when we arrived to the others at the desk the next two days as well as the bartenders and cleaning staff. All were extremely nice and helpful. Pleasant surprise was when we arrived our room had not been cleaned. The night desk clerk (Jed) upgraded our room to a suite for the same price we had signed up for. Very spacious and luxurious. More businesses of all types should take note of this approach and always upgrade when there is a problem that affects the customer with no fault of theirs. This insured we will return one day.

Good size rooms, very comfortable beds. cosy feeling. nice bar an restaurant. very clean hotel. Historic area safe and quiet to go walking and exploring.

The property felt open and welcoming, and super safe at the same time. I enjoyed the outdoor space between the rooms and the original building. I loved seeing fliers for outdoor yoga in the Colonial Inn lawn at the local coffee shop and market.
